Charlene Morgan

Charlene (Smith) Morgan , age 72, passed away February 20, 2015 at the Kansas Heart Hospital, Wichita. She was born on Dec. 27, 1942 at Plevna, KS, the daughter of Ezra E. and Doshia H. (Bryan) Smith. Charlene worked at Hearthstone Nursing Home in St. John for 29 years as a nurses aide. She was a graduate of Plevna High School and resident of St. John since 1977. She attended the Methodist Church. Survivors include a brother, Ezra Smith, Jr., Maize, KS; a sister, Sue Caster, Douglas, KS; many nieces and nephews including Connie Edwards, Kenneth Hacker, Sr., Michael Hathaway, Joseph Hathaway, Seth, Ben Edwards & Carrie James, Josephine, Sally & Shawn Rosenberg, Kristi, Lucas and Alyssa.
Memorial service will be 2:00 P.M., Monday, February 23, 2015 at Minnis Chapel, St. John with Pastor Roland Broeder presiding. Private family graveside. Memorials may be given to the Stafford County Historical Society or Choice in care of Minnis Chapel, P.O. Box 34, St. John, KS 67576.
