Darrel Eugene Smith

Darrel Eugene Smith, age 72 passed away on Oct. 20, 2024 at Kenwood Plaza, St. John, KS. He was born on Nov. 9, 1951 at Fairview, OK., the son of Richard J. and June (Pierce) Smith. Darrel had been a car salesman, parole officer for the Department of Corrections, State of Texas, retired and worked in the Texas oilfields. He loved riding his motorcycle and had a passion for fishing. He is survived by his brother, Dick (Marcia) Smith, St. John, KS.; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. An inurnment service will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2024 at 11:00 A.M., in the Fairview Park Cemetery, St. John, KS., with Pastor Wade Russell presiding. Memorials may be given to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation in care of Minnis Chapel, P.O. Box 34, St. John, KS 67576.
