Dennis Harter

Dennis Dale Harter, age 65, passed away Oct. 19, 2015. He was born on Feb. 25, 1950 at Larned, KS, the son of Dale R. and Louise E. (Fehrenbacher) Harter. He was the store manager of NAPA-Harter Automotive in Stafford, KS. He graduated from St. John High School in 1968 and was a resident of Stafford since 1996. He attended FHSU, KSU-Salina and was a Vietnam Veteran of the US Airforce. He was a member of the VFW, Metz-Harter-Culbreath Post of St. John, KS. He is survived by his mother of St. John, KS; two sons, Justin Harter, Stafford, KS, Jeffrey Harter, Junction City, KS; a brother, David Harter, St. John, KS; four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Kathryn Gerstner. Graveside service will be 10:30 AM, Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Fairview Park Cemetery, St. John, with Sister Catherine Therese presiding. Memorials may be given to the Class of 1971 Scholarship fund in care of Minnis Chapel, P.O. Box 34, St. John, Ks 67576.
