Esther Staub

Esther Rose Staub, age 78, passed away on Apr. 27, 2019 at Leisure Homestead, Stafford, KS.  She was born on July 29, 1940 at Great Bend, KS, the daughter of Alexander C. and Anna M. (Wolf) Stoecklein.  She worked for many years at the nursing home in St. John and was a member of the Eden Valley Church of the Brethren.  She was married to Max Schartz and later to Larry Dean Staub.  Survivors include, two sons, Richard Schartz and Robert Montgomery; two daughters, Brenda Aitken and Linda Murrow; 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. She loved playing bingo and embroidering pillow cases for friends and family.  Memorial service will be 10:30 AM, Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at Minnis Chapel, St. John with Pastor Jacob Russell presiding. There will be a private inurnment ceremony.  Memorials may be given to Leisure Homestead, Stafford, KS, in care of Minnis Chapel, P.O. Box 34, St. John, KS  67576.
