Frances Mae Miller, age 85, passed away Dec. 18, 2020 at Mennonite Friendship Communities, South Hutchinson, KS. She was born on Feb. 14, 1935 at St. John, KS, the daughter of Roy and Katherine (Sparling) Allison. Frances was a homemaker, farm wife, seamstress and Quilter and long-time resident of St. John. On Nov. 2, 1957, she married John F. Miller at St. John, KS, he died in 2018. She was a member of the Eden Valley Church of the Brethren, Junior Golden Circle Club and was a major donor to the Mennonite Relief Quilt Auction. Survivors include three sons, John K. Miller (Gale), Hutchinson, KS, Steve Miller (Mikki), Hutchinson, KS, Wayne Miller (Vickie Jo), St. John, KS; two sisters, Elaine Green (Jim), St. John, KS, Bonnie Bishop, Hesston, KS; 8 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl and Don Allison. Frances’ family will receive friends on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2021 from 5-7PM at Minnis Chapel, St. John. Memorials may be given to the Mennonite Relief Quilt Auction in care of Minnis Chapel, P.O. Box 34, St. John, KS 67576.
