Gary Stimatze

Gary Richard Stimatze, age 83, passed away Sept. 27, 2017 at his rural home near Macksville.  He was born on June 29, 1934 at Macksville, KS, the son of Walter L. and Verna Marie (Bell) Stimatze. Gary was a farmer-stockman and a life-long resident of Macksville. On Dec. 6, 1952 he married Maurine L. (Post) at Larned, KS. Survivors include his wife Maurine Stimatze, Macksville, KS,  3 sons, Rick Stimatze (Toni), Pawnee Rock, KS, Joe Stimatze (Laura), Macksville, KS, Gary Gene Stimatze (Rita), Macksville, KS; 5 daughters, Lisa Corr (Tom), Viola, KS, Jana Stimatze, Hutchinson, KS, Kay Stimatze (Abe), Kingman, KS, Jill Stimatze (Mike), St. John, KS, Reba Weisz (Clete), Hutchinson, KS; a brother, Junior Stimatze, Little River, KS; 24 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.  He was preceded in death by both parents, 2 daughters, Danya and Gina Stimatze; a sister, Fern Spruill; 3 grandchildren, Shane L. Stimatze, Luke Stimatze and Jailyn Goetz.  Memorial service will be 10:00 AM, Friday, Oct. 6, 2017 at Minnis Chapel, St. John, KS, with Greg Giles presiding.  Inurnment will follow in the Farmington Cemetery, Macksville, KS.  In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Interim Home Care & Hospice in care of Minnis Chapel, P.O. Box 34, St. John, KS  67576.
