Glenda Sue “Suzie” McMillan, age 79 passed away peacefully in her sleep on Aug. 23, 2024 at her favorite camping community in Lake George, CO. She was born on Sept. 9, 1944 at Dodge City, KS., the daughter of Loren F. and Opal N. (Haydock) Wimmer. On Aug. 3, 1964 she married Alan Drew McMillan at Ashland, KS., he passed away in 2011. She was a devoted homemaker to her family. She attended four years at KSU and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in both St. John and Ashland. Her other memberships include the following…Staunch supporter of USD 350 Athletics, Theatre, Band, Academics, Booster Club and Quiz Bowl. She had been a Girl Scouts leader, Camp Director, Trainer and President of the Wheat Belt Area Girl Scout Council. She was also involved in PEO, Busy Mother’s Club and past President of the Stafford County Historical and Genealogical Society. She is survived by two daughters, Leslie (Larry) Tanner, St. John, KS., Lori (Todd) Wycoff, St. John, KS; a brother, Arthur Mulch, St. John, KS; four grandchildren, Tyler (Atarah) Wycoff, Tanner (Sammy) Wycoff, Trevor Tanner, Tegan Tanner; a great granddaughter, Rhylan Wycoff. She was preceded in death by her husband Alan; a brother, Frank Mulch; an infant sister, Sharon Kay Wimmer. A celebration of life service will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2024 at Minnis Chapel, St. John with Pastor Wade Russell presiding. Inurnment will follow in the Stafford Cemetery, Stafford, KS. Memorials may be given to USD 350 Education Foundation, Stafford County Hospital or Stafford County Historical and Genealogical Society in care of Minnis Chapel, Box 34, St. John, KS 67576.
