Jennie Pearl Walker, age 88, passed away July 19, 2019 at Holiday Resort, Salina, KS. She was born on Sept. 12, 1930 in Hodgeman County, KS, the daughter of Roy W. and Cornelia E. (Allen) McBride. She was a homemaker, farmer, secretary and past resident of Seward, KS, Macksville, KS, and most recently, Salina, KS. She was a graduate of Radium High School in 1948 and later received her teacher’s certificate. On May 15, 1949 she married Eddie Ralph Walker at Radium, KS, he preceded her in death on July 7, 2004. She was a member of the Macksville Christian Church. Survivors include a son, Ronnie Allen Walker (Dava), Stafford, KS; two daughters, Rhea Darlene Overbey (Don), Macksville, KS, JoLinda Rae Rains (Ray), Salina, KS; two sisters, Carol Gingrich (Teddy), Larned, KS, Joyce Turner, Salina, KS; sister-in-law, Kathy Cryderman, Salina, KS, 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandsons, 3 step-grandchildren, 3 step great grandchildren, 1 step great great grandchild and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sons, Ricki Lee Walker, Terryl Wayne Walker; a brother, Allen McBride; a sister, Janice Duncan and a great great grandchild. Funeral service will be 1:00PM Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at the Macksville Christian Church, Macksville, KS, with Pastor Jacob Russell presiding. Burial will follow in the Farmington Cemetery, Macksville, KS. Visitation will be Monday, July 22, 2019 from 1-7PM at Minnis Chapel, Macksville, KS. Memorials may be given to Macksville Christian Church or the Tammy Walker Cancer Center, Salina, KS, in care of Minnis Chapel, P.O. Box 34, St. John, KS 67576.
