Rev. Lee Allen Stubblefield, at the age of 78, one of God’s most faithful servants was called home on June 10, 2016 at Leisure Homestead, St. John. He was born on July 4, 1937 at Tulsa, OK, the son of Carson and Gertrude Rose (Higley) Stubblefield. He was a Baptist minister serving at the Omega Church in Akron, Indiana, Great Bend Bible Church and he was Chaplain at Ogden Rescue Mission, Utah. He received a BA degree in Biblical Education at Western Bible Institute and was a 14 year veterans of the US Navy. On Jan. 26, 1960 he married Janice Clare Keioskie at Subic Bay Philippines, she survives of the home.
Other survivors include 2 daughters, Tammy Johnson (Jerry), Mentone, IN, Cherie Jacobs (Victor),Great Bend, KS; 4 sons, Mark Stubblefield (Linda), Lewisburg, TN, John Stubblefield (Eileen), Thompson Station, TN, David Fields (Karen), Springhill, TN, Philip Stubblefield (Angie), Madison, AL; a brother, Bill Stubblefield, Fowler, KS; 3 sisters, Rosemary Horn, Logan, KS, Cindy Ryan, MO, Nikki Jiles, Sapulpa, OK; 18 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Lee Allen Stubblefield II; two sisters Helen Geneva Stubblefield and Anita Blackburn. Memorial service will be 4:00 PM, Saturday, June 18, 2016 at Cross Point Church, Great Bend, KS, with Pastor Clay Boepple presiding. Private family inurnment will be in the Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver, CO. Memorials may be given to the Cross Point Church in care of Janice Stubblefield, 103 SE 60 Rd, Great Bend, KS 67530. Minnis Chapel, St. John in charge of arrangements.
